Nelson  Sandgren, 1917-2006

Well known all over Oregon, Sandgren taught art at Oregon State University for 38 years and lead groups of artists on one and two week on-site painting classes right up to his death.  The majority of his art tended to focus on landscapes of the Willamette Valley and especially the Oregon coast, but he traveled widely painting in Latin America as well as Europe, having exhibits in western states and England.
